Marlies' blue-chip defence

One was pencilled in as a sure thing heading into training camp. The other won a job with the Toronto Maple Leafs coming out of camp. Both are blue-chip defence prospects, sidelined by injuries and now toiling for the Toronto Marlies.

Staffan Kronwall and Andy Wozniewski aren't feeling sorry for themselves. Instead, they're proving why they belong in the NHL.

Kronwall had a goal and an assist while Wozneiwski killed penalties and added an assist in a 5-4 Marlies victory over the Philadelphia Phantoms at Ricoh Coliseum yesterday.
