Hard work pays for Leafs' trio

They don't have quite the size or the scoring power of Mats Sundin's line, but Chad Kilger, Bates Battaglia and Boyd Devereaux can be quite a handful.

Coach Paul Maurice threw the three together two games ago when centre John Pohl was sidelined with back spasms. They're a high-speed, tough-forechecking unit that pester their way through the other team's zone.

"It's fun to play with Chad and Bates," says Devereaux. "It's a simple game you can count on when you chip the puck, they're going to the right spots and you got to get there first. We kind of control the puck."
