Hard Fought Point

After winning four of five on their recent road trip, the Maple Leafs returned home Saturday to take on Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Leafs couldn’t continue the magic as they dropped a 6-5 decision in overtime.


In the four wins on the road trip the Leafs used excellent fore-checking and defensive play but Saturday the Leafs couldn’t get their skating legs going for the first 30 minutes as they spotted the Penguins a 3-0 lead.

The rest of the night was a different story. Thanks to captain Mats SundinQuick View the Leafs were able to at least pick up one point as they continue to push for a playoff spot in the very tight Eastern Conference.
