Leafs forward Newbury taken off ice on stretcher after fight with Petrovicky

The scary sight of Kris Newbury being carted off the Air Canada Centre ice on a stretcher after a fight with Pittsburgh Penguins forward Robert Petrovicky on Saturday was one that stuck firmly in the mind of his Toronto Maple Leafs teammates.

"A scary moment," said Leafs winger Boyd Devereaux.

"You're always worried about guys when stuff like that happens," added Leafs winger Bates Battaglia. "But he's a tough kid, and hopefully everything will be all right."
