Coaching doesn't get old for Maurice

Leafs coach Paul Maurice can't think of a better place to celebrate his 40th birthday than a hockey rink.

Good thing, then, because his Leafs are taking on the Carolina Hurricanes this evening at the RBC Centre, getting in the way of any other plans Maurice might have made for a milestone birthday.

"Hopefully we'll get him a win," said Leafs captain Mats Sundin.

The game is the first of five in a row on the road for the Leafs. With games tomorrow night in New York against the Rangers and Saturday night in Ottawa, the Leafs face three teams they are chasing for a playoff spot.
