Leafs reap road rewards
Sold out arenas, half-empty arenas, and arenas with the most famous names. It just doesn't matter to the Toronto Maple Leafs these days. One of the NHL's hottest teams has won hockey games in virtually every city since the calendar turned to 2007.
A 2-1 victory over the St. Louis Blues in a rare visit to the Scottrade Center last night improved Toronto's 2007 road record to 7-1 and the Leafs' overall mark away from home to 16-9-3.
A thus-far perfect 4-0 road trip wraps up tomorrow night in Nashville against the team leading the NHL in points this season.
