It's unlikely Sundin, Tucker will be traded

There has not been an official announcement, no puff of white smoke from the executive sauna at Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment headquarters (although blowing smoke is not unknown in those hallowed halls), but Darcy Tucker and Mats Sundin are not going anywhere.

Yes, there have been inquiries from other National Hockey League clubs, given the incessant rumours that the Toronto Maple Leafs want to trade their heart and soul, but the conversations generally go like this:

NHL general manager: "I hear you want to trade Tucker and Sundin."

Leafs general manager John Ferguson: "I'm not trying to trade either one. But if you want me to say yes, make an offer that will blow my doors off."
