Some funny things start happening inside dressing rooms when a team's on a winning streak, like the five-gamer the Toronto Maple Leafs take into Nashville tonight.
Not just in terms of superstitions, although those certainly exist. It's the elephant in the room – the conversation that no one wants to have: the one about losing.
"You know sooner or later, it's going to come to an end," says ex-Leaf coach Pat Burns, in town for last night's Conn Smythe Sports Celebrities Dinner, the annual Easter Seal fundraiser. "It's a great feeling for the players, and for the fans when you keep on winning and winning and winning.
