Raycroft makes 37 saves as Maple Leafs top Rangers
Andrew Raycroft was brilliant in net as he made 37 saves to help the streaking Toronto Maple Leafs to a 2-1 victory over the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden.
Mats Sundin scored the game-winning goal and Alexei Ponikarovsky scored the other goal for the Maple Leafs, who have won three straight and five of their last six games.
Henrik Lundqvist stopped 26 shots and Brendan Shanahan scored the lone goal for the Rangers, who had won their previous two games.
Both teams had several quality chances throughout the first several minutes of the third period, but it was Toronto which took a 2-1 lead.
