Crosby, Penguins roll into Toronto

Sidney Crosby and the red-hot Pittsburgh Penguins look to continue the franchise's best run in a decade when they visit the Toronto Maple Leafs Saturday night (CBC, 7 p.m. ET).

Pittsburgh (28-17-9) has earned at least a point in each of its last 12 games, going 10-0-2 to vault from outside the playoff picture to fourth place in the Eastern Conference.

Sidney Crosby, centre, and the Pittsburgh Penguins have surged into fourth place in the Eastern Conference.

The stretch is the team's best since it picked up points in 14 straight games from Dec. 19, 1996, to Jan. 21, 1997. Still, this is no time for the Penguins to rest on their laurels, as they are only five points ahead of ninth-place Toronto (27-22-6).
