Both Bell, a tough, scoring forward when he's on his game, and Toskala, a 30-year-old who split netminding duties in San Jose last season, will don the Blue and White next season after general manager John Ferguson pulled the trigger on a draft-day deal that addresses the team's biggest needs.

'Vesa is an unbelievable goaltender,' said Bell. 'I personally believe Vesa is highly underrated.

'You wouldn't believe how hard it is to get a puck by him.'"
