Shootout hot shots

Maybe "impossible" isn't in the Islanders' vocabulary this season. Consider they played last night at Air Canada Centre, where they had a 0-10-1 record the previous five years; they were outshot by Toronto in the third period 16-1, and coach Ted Nolan decided to go with fourth-line rookie center Frans Nielsen in the leadoff spot of a shootout.
